WRE Water Supply
Detailed hydrogeologic and hydrologic evaluations are required to assess the present and future capacities of water supply systems with accuracy and conservatism. Findings of inadequate capacity following WSCMP completion are common, owing in part to strict new testing guidelines recommended by MDE. In many locations statewide, inadequate water capacity is limiting the approval of growth. The water supply component of an approvable WRE evaluates current and future water demands, availability, protection and alternatives for how to successfully sustain planned growth.
