- Two ALWI hydrogeologists had the recent opportunity to participate in the John Mann Mentor's Program in Applied Hydrogeology. At a recent meeting of the Geological Society of America, Messrs. Mark W. Eisner, P.G. and James M. Wilburn IV met with small groups of geology students to discuss the nature of the practice of the profession, course and thesis selection, the career path selection process and specifically, the job interview process. The experience was rewarding for the participating students, but probably even more so for us.
- Mr. Eisner's picture now adorns the new GSA promotional flyer (as shown on the left) for the Mann Program and he has been inducted into the GSA's "Mann Mentors Hall of Fame." More information on the Mann Program can be found at http://www.geosociety.org/science/mentors/mann.
