Mr. Pielmeier is the Operations Manager and Senior Scientist with Advanced Land and Water, Inc. (ALWI). He possesses over a dozen years of water resource evaluation and permitting experience. He has designed, executed and completed numerous successful environmental and hydrogeologic projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic states.
As Operations Manager, Mr. Pielmeier designs, coordinates and oversees drilling programs and pumping tests, soils and related hydrogeologic evaluations. In the field, he applies scientific techniques to select high-yielding well sites, performs geologic logging, executes slug tests, collects hydrologic data, plans and performs infiltrometer testing, deploys data-loggers and conducts sampling activities. In the office, he is responsible for operations management, liaison and coordination with clients and regulatory officials, project conceptualization and management, hydrogeologic analyses and technical report preparation and review. Mr. Pielmeier also provides testimony at public hearings in support of water resources projects.
Mr. Pielmeier’s expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has included its full integration in supporting ALWI work product and agency submittals. He personally built and refined ALWI GIS capabilities and has made our permitting submittals more technically defensible and attractive. Related responsibilities include the development, implementation, and management of systems for the collection, interpretation, and portrayal of multi-dimensional and multi-platform digital site data, including both analytical and numerical groundwater modeling. He possesses complete proficiency in the use of ArcGIS.
