Life in Jesus Community
ALWI evaluated groundwater supply and wastewater disposal options for a proposed religious retreat in Frederick County, Maryland. We advised the client on various planning and regulatory matters and analyzed and tested the on-site soils from an MDE discharge permitting perspective. Fieldwork included percolation and infiltrometer tests of soils, drilling and monitoring of piezometers and observation wells, and pumping tests of supply wells. We then prepared and submitted permit application materials, supportive of increased groundwater withdrawals and a 34,000 gpd design flow from a new subsurface septic system. We also permitted a drip irrigation system as a means to meet reserve wastewater requirements.
